"You know, I don’t even know what goes on out there, because I haven’t had to, like — I don’t walk and watch matches, but I did see some of the courts have, like, lines getting in, and it seems really busy," Pegula commented. "I saw some reports that it’s some of their busiest they have ever been and it’s packed and all that, which is, I think, great. Obviously it shows that the event is growing, the sport is growing. That’s, you know, amazing."
Pegula continued, reflecting on her observations during Eala's match, where she noted how fans were queued around the stadium just trying to gain entry, describing it as "pretty crazy." She expressed enthusiasm about seeing such excitement, though she also acknowledged she couldn’t fully comment on the fan experience herself. "Hopefully, the event kind of continues to grow with the fans that we’re getting and making that still an enjoyable experience for them," she added thoughtfully.
Having played both her singles matches on the main show courts, Pegula unfortunately faced an early exit in the doubles competition on Court 15.

"I think less is more for me unless there is something really glaring."

"I don’t think I do well when someone kind of just, like, directly tells me, you need to do this, you need to do that. I don’t think I respond well to that," she admitted.
