Peter Salmon, a 92-year-old stockman in Western Australia, is the last living speaker of the First Nations language Thiinma. Rosie Sitorus, a linguist and musician, discovered Peter and became his friend, learning Thiinma from him. Together, they formed a band called Warralgurniya, which means 'singing', and participated in ABC TV's The Piano, performing one of their songs in the final concert at Sydney's Recital Hall.
